I recently got 2 CT's for abdomen and pelvis for kidney stones from the same hospital.
1) CTU (DLP; precon 100, contrast 280, total 380 mgy*cm)
2) CT without contrast ((DLP; 360 mgy*cm)
Why did I get similar DLP's for these? I thought I should get 1/3 of radiation for the CT without contrast as it is 1 pass? I am 25 and kind of worried about radiation so just wanted to ask the experts. Thank you all!
