Finished academics in June but still failing all my registry prep pretty miserably and not sure what to do.

So my class was scheduled to graduate in June of this year, covid obviously complicated that and our program held off our graduations until we could resume clinicals (and I personally already had extra time to make up due to a medical issue last year), so here I am now having officially graduated from my program but I just feel so unready.

I've been doing both RadTech Bootcamp and Rad Review for months and I'm just not making any headway. On Bootcamp my practice tests tend to be in the low 70's and on Rad Review it's more like 40-50%. I wish I could say there was one area where I'm lacking but it just seems to be spread all over the place, sometimes I make mistakes on stuff I got right a couple of weeks ago even. It's really making me wonder how I even passed any of my classes, not that I was ever a high achiever in those either despite my best efforts...

I got into the Rad Tech program!

I just want to share with you that I finally got into the program at our local community college and i’m starting this summer. For context, I’m already 30yo with a prior BS degree and decided on a career change. During the pandemic until this semester, I took my time to take all the pre-reqs and GEs required while working. I also volunteered at a hospital for over a year. It was optional due to COVID, but I still did it to get the brownie points. I finally applied last March 2023 and received good news last Friday. The program is based on a pointing system, so I think having good grades really mattered. It was my first time applying and the only program I applied to. I didn’t know it was possible to get in on your first try because of all of the stories I’ve been reading, so don’t lose hope because it’s possible! Wishing everyone who’s applying this year good luck. You can do this! If you have questions, I will do my best to answer them 😊 also if you have tips on how to survive this ...

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/

Onetonline salary search change?

Did this change? I am having a hard time finding the same lists I saw 2 months ago. https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/29-2034.00#AdditionalInformation https://www.onetonline.org/link/localwages/29-2034.00?st=OR&p=hourly I used to be able to see wage by area and sort it by state and see the differences per state and per city in every state. I can't seem to find this same list anymore. I can see a bell curve but I can't sort by state or wage or anything.
