Radiologic Technologist degree or certificate, which one?

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice that I don’t plan on using. However, I am currently enlisted in the military and have the opportunity to use TA (Tuition Assistance) to take some classes online over the next couple years. I also have my GI Bill, which I can use after my service on education as well which I plan on using to physically attend a school (if possible, thanks COVID).

I want to use my TA and take a couple classes necessary for Radiologic Technologist such as anatomy and physiology. With that said, does anyone know if those classes/credits will transfer over into a Radiologic Technologist degree? For example, If I take these couple of classes online at let’s say Maryland University, will they hypothetically transfer over to Florida State university and I just take the remaining classes there?

I also have the opportunity to use my TA to get a certificate online like I said before, so should I just go for the Radiologic Technologist certificate online, and then maybe attend school for the Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree after my service using my GI Bill?

Thank you

I got into the Rad Tech program!

I just want to share with you that I finally got into the program at our local community college and i’m starting this summer. For context, I’m already 30yo with a prior BS degree and decided on a career change. During the pandemic until this semester, I took my time to take all the pre-reqs and GEs required while working. I also volunteered at a hospital for over a year. It was optional due to COVID, but I still did it to get the brownie points. I finally applied last March 2023 and received good news last Friday. The program is based on a pointing system, so I think having good grades really mattered. It was my first time applying and the only program I applied to. I didn’t know it was possible to get in on your first try because of all of the stories I’ve been reading, so don’t lose hope because it’s possible! Wishing everyone who’s applying this year good luck. You can do this! If you have questions, I will do my best to answer them 😊 also if you have tips on how to survive this ...

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/

Onetonline salary search change?

Did this change? I am having a hard time finding the same lists I saw 2 months ago. https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/29-2034.00#AdditionalInformation https://www.onetonline.org/link/localwages/29-2034.00?st=OR&p=hourly I used to be able to see wage by area and sort it by state and see the differences per state and per city in every state. I can't seem to find this same list anymore. I can see a bell curve but I can't sort by state or wage or anything.
