I work at a major Canadian trauma center, and we’re having an issue with frequently damaged DR detectors here. I’m trying to gather information about portables processes at other major trauma centers to see if there is something we can do differently in order to prevent drop incidents and other damage bedsides the basic ‘be careful’.
What kind of coverings do you all use for detectors? Plastic bags or pillowcases? Has this been an issue at your site, and how was it rectified? For context we are very busy and perform over 100 portable CXRs a day, spread across 6 DR portables machines.
Thank you all, and I really am receptive to any piece of info or trick you may have, no matter how trivial it may seem.
