Point me in the right direction?

Hi! I had this x-ray done of my foot last week. The doctor told me the appropriate treatment is “exercise.” I injured it about a year ago - I thought I felt it break but the doctor at that time told me it was a sprain. Just looking for some guidance or opinions as I continue to seek further medical advice (from a new doctor). I don’t think my current doctors are giving me the best diagnoses. Thanks! submitted by /u/turtleannlb [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/12pau0d/point_me_in_the_right_direction/

Ebook reader for radiology related books

As the title implies, i am looking to purchase an ebook reader that can display accurately the shades from a radiology kind of ebook. I have an older model of Pocketbook and whilst for text is just good, and maybe HRCT (if im generous), when it comes to mri, it just falls behind display wise (it cannot reproduce the number of shades required). I am currently looking at somethhing like PocketBook InkPad Color, 7,8" E Ink new Kaleido™ but im not sure if thats right either. Asking for suggestions from you guys, thank you. submitted by /u/D4rkxen [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/12p7uis/ebook_reader_for_radiology_related_books/

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread

This is the career / general questions thread for the week. Questions about radiology as a career (both as a medical specialty and radiologic technology), student questions, workplace guidance, and everyday inquiries are welcome here. This thread and this subreddit in general are not the place for medical advice. If you do not have results for your exam, your provider/physician is the best source for information regarding your exam. Posts of this sort that are posted outside of the weekly thread will continue to be removed. submitted by /u/AutoModerator [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/12p5wsx/weekly_career_general_questions_thread/

Radiographic Tech or BSN? Got accepted to both programs.

I’ve been lurking this sub for a bit, r/nursing too, since I’ve been trying to decide on a career path. Well, I applied to a BSN program and a Rad Tech program at two different well-known universities and got accepted to BOTH. Now I need to decide which one to pursue. Both programs are 5 semesters, obviously radiography is an associates, BSN is bachelors. I would likely choose an imaging modality and get a bachelors with an additional 2-4 semesters. I’ll be in my early 40s when I complete the program, so I don’t plan on going above a bachelor’s anyway. I have kids, teenagers to kindergarten and in between, I wont have to work during the program, and clinicals for both programs would be at a rural hospital. I do not have prior healthcare/medical experience, but I’ve always wanted to have successful career in the field! I can see myself doing either program and I know they are completely different from one another. I tend to lean a bit more toward radiography, since you see patients...
