Omnipaque 240 oral - how long does it stay in the system?

I am told to take half of 50 ml Omnipaque 240 for abdominal and pelvis CT scan tomorrow.

How long does this stay in your system? How long does this scan usually last? I am worried about drinking it because I’m reading its texture is weird. Any good tips?
