Where to start?

G'day! A new biomed student here. I've been around in this sub quite a while, not completely clueless but still a newbie in radiology, so there sure is so much to learn from you guys. Anatomy class started weeks ago and now is going onto regional-clinical correlations. I too started reviewing old class materials and am particularly interested in this one. This is a case study, which is supposed to be a part of my weekly assignment. Its description reads "...an accident during a cross-country bicycle race one month ago. The right shoulder joint was successfully reduced by an orthopedist using the traction-countertraction technique..."

I wish to know and understand your thought process. Like, what comes first to your mind when you see the result, what do you mainly observe and how would it affect your interpretation, what next will you be looking for, and so on. * What is your initial impression? (apart from the obvious dislocation lol) * What clinically significant information this X-ray result alone visually presents? and how does that contribute to/benefit your conclusion? (ex. presence of epiphyseal plate tells us the patient is a child, something like that) * Are there any technical issues in the X-ray imaging that you mostly came across? which of them do you implement to determine if another X-ray or other imaging techniques is required? * I've read a few journals. They certainly are valuable resources with spectacular details provided in each case study, but I find them quite a time-consuming process reviewing all those. Do you personally consider reading scientific journals an effective 'learning' method? or lectures, textbooks, notes, etc. would suffice.

Any study tip/advice is always appreciated. Thank you in advance and Have a good day!

Onetonline salary search change?

Did this change? I am having a hard time finding the same lists I saw 2 months ago. https://www.onetonline.org/link/summary/29-2034.00#AdditionalInformation https://www.onetonline.org/link/localwages/29-2034.00?st=OR&p=hourly I used to be able to see wage by area and sort it by state and see the differences per state and per city in every state. I can't seem to find this same list anymore. I can see a bell curve but I can't sort by state or wage or anything. Thanks! submitted by /u/xxDamnationxx [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/h9oqup/onetonline_salary_search_change/

Radiology program

I’m from New York looking to attend a Rad tech program. I work for Northwell and recently came across a flyer for John Patrick University. it is an online AS program with clinicals in person (which my job will allow me to do) It seems as if this program is not accredited by JCERT but the school is accredited by ACCSC. I reached out to the director of the school and also the arrt and they say that there would be no issue taking boards. I haven’t really heard of anyone going through online program so I wanted to make sure everything checks out. Since this was being advertised at work I couldn’t see why they would put something that wouldn’t be accepted out.
