Question for Irish / Ireland Radiographer

Hello, I have recently seen Ireland on some advertisements and was curious and did some research. The culture looks interesting and has some similarities to northern Spain in terms of Celtic influences and it turns out the whole Irish population is around 5M. That's about the size of the city that I live and work in here in Spain. My question is how is the work environment there? I ask this because there is a lot of patients where I work but it is relative to the Pop. Density of the city. Are there some days when you are swamped with patients as well? Lastly, how is the work/life balance there? I thank you in advance for your response! ¡Gracias! submitted by /u/the-radioactiv-trvlr [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/hcyyok/question_for_irish_ireland_radiographer/

Any residents/fellows/attendings out there have any good tips/tricks on how to do well as a 4th year medical student on a radiology "interview" rotation? submitted by /u/SubZero-5E [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/hcsiyk/radiology_rotation_tips/

Where can I find sample DICOM files of a craniofacial CT scan

Basically what I'm looking for is a 3D CT scan of a normally developed young adult human skull that I can load into my DICOM viewer. I was able to find a couple online but they were all from patients with malocclusions or some other abnormality. Anyone know where I could look? submitted by /u/Extra-Fill [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/hcqnft/where_can_i_find_sample_dicom_files_of_a/

After receiving a Masters in Radiology, do you hit a ceiling?

I apologize if this is an ignorant question, but I have thinking about this a lot. I am applying to my schools RadTech program this upcoming application cycle. I’m just the type of person that researches the shit out of everything but I can’t really find anything on it. I currently already have my bachelors degree in an un-related field and saw that to receive a masters in radiology, you need a BA. However, what if you want to continue your education? Could you get a PhD? Can you do a residency program and become a radiologist? Again, apologies if I sound like a dipshit, especially since I’m not even in the tech program yet lol I just like to think ahead... 4 years ahead. submitted by /u/Vomelette22 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/hcopv7/after_receiving_a_masters_in_radiology_do_you_hit/

Requesting sincere guidance for pursuing a career in radiology in Germany.

Hi I am a radiologist in India having acquired all my medical education in India. I have had almost 5 years of experience after my specialty training (residency). I am interested in pursuing my career further in Germany. I have read and thoroughly understood all the language and exam requirements that I need to complete before I can get a job (assistenzarzt/specialist training). I have no issue with repeating all 5-6 years of training as an assistenzarzt again or with the salary. However I had certain doubts regarding the current state of affairs with regards to non EU doctors. It will be of great help if you can help me with it. 1: Germany opened its doors liberally for foreign doctors from 2012 owing to shortage of doctors. In this earlier phase, the requirements were not much strict and entry was relatively easier. However as years passed by the requirements were made stricter and rightly so to ensure strict language and quality compliance. I know of people who did not have to ev...
