EI# colors

I'm a student and was wondering how the EI numbers work. For Quantum model x ray machine the EI shows up colored what do they mean -Red number, - orange, - green, +green number, +orange, +red number and so on

I don't set technique, this part hasn't been explained what number means over vs under exposed for a Quantum model machine?
