Question I've got about Tl-201

Hey all,

I'm writing a thesis about Tl-201 (Thallium-201) and I was wondering the following:

Is it correct to assume/state that Tl-201 is not used in radiotherapy, exclusively for radiodiagnostics? Because of the fact that Tl-201 only emits gamma -and X-rays? For therapy you would want a particle with more energy, like a beta particle, because that one doesn't just fly straight through the human body, like gamma and x-rays. For diagnostics it's perfect because you would want gamma and Xrays -- exactly what Tl-201 emits.

Hope some of you can help me because I really need it! Also, if I posted in the wrong sub, please let me know.

Cheers, Coolnow_

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/
