Plus size rad tech student

Hey everyone! I'm currently a 2nd year student in a rad tech program and about to enter semester 3 very soon. Wanted to vent about something that is the cause of like 60% of my anxiety about radiography school. My hospital does not have a diverse range of lead apron sizes, and bigger sized stocked surgical scrubs. Every time I am scheduled to be in Fluoroscopy I have tremendous anxiety about whether or not I will be able to find a lead apron that fits me correctly that day. And when I go to surgery, I have to specifically ask my instructor to get me bigger sized scrubs than what are stocked in our department. Has anyone else run into this issue? I am plus sized but also feel like a hospital should be able to accommodate everyone in the program especially with the lead aprons. I've considered buying my own, but they are like $500 :( And I also know for a fact that there are people who are my size who have worked in the department before and will be some who come after me as well. Thoughts?

AI for radiology - A survey

Hello folks! We are a group of students from Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University (Sweden). We are conducting a short survey (it should not take more than 10 minutes of your time) to evaluate an Artificial Intelligence framework for evaluating medical imaging and, in particular, the effect that explainability can have on clinicians' attitudes toward it. We welcome anyone who interacts with medical imaging to take our survey, so please, feel free to do it even if you are still a student or an intern! If you know someone who works in the field, please, pass them the survey. It would help us greatly. https://bit.ly/RTEX_survey Thanks in advance to all of you! submitted by /u/francozzz [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/r2ratp/ai_for_radiology_a_survey/
