As a Radiographer do you think it is fair that the employee need to have his training on special modality outside office hour?

It is a problem that my friend encountered recently....

Of course i think it sounds unfair.... In addition, it is not official training, therefore, in theory, no one will teach you anything, what you can do is observe....

But his boss said that clearly he will not provide any training during office hour, if you don't learn outside office hour, you cannot complain that you recieved no training, because he provided the opportunity. It is the responsibility of the Radiographer who did not take it.

It is obvious that if you don't spend time on that, you will not stand a chance on getting a promotion.

I just wonder is this kind of practice also common in American or other countries, will the boss get any trouble from that?

I didn't encounter such asshole boss myself, should i consider myself lucky?

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/

Radiology program

I’m from New York looking to attend a Rad tech program. I work for Northwell and recently came across a flyer for John Patrick University. it is an online AS program with clinicals in person (which my job will allow me to do) It seems as if this program is not accredited by JCERT but the school is accredited by ACCSC. I reached out to the director of the school and also the arrt and they say that there would be no issue taking boards. I haven’t really heard of anyone going through online program so I wanted to make sure everything checks out. Since this was being advertised at work I couldn’t see why they would put something that wouldn’t be accepted out.
