which MRI sequences to send??? (new tech)

new MRI tech here, covid kicked me out of clinicals for 4.5 months and i just recently finished my ARRT comps.

I'm doing pretty well in the scanning side of MRI, however when it comes to sending the sequences i get really confused on which ones to send. water? fat? what are these other ones generated by the computer? i know it's mostly site-specific but there are just a lot of different small things that need to be done for almost every exam that makes me feel discouraged.

for those of you who are semi-new techs, how did you go about learning which ones to send?

As i'm writing this out i just thought of an idea. should i go into PACS and write down the sequences that are there into a book? I don't know.

thanks for reading, any tips would be appreciated.

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/
