Symptoms began around 2.5 years prior to MRI, as acute anterior medial pain suspected to be a damaged anterior talofibular ligament when in plantar flexion or extreme dorsiflexion. Symptoms worsened 6 weeks before MRI to posterior medial pain in region of posterior tibiotalar ligament when walking. No load bearing plantar flexion possible. Pain prohibits patients preferred exercises (cycling and running), and hampers performance in weight based strength training (predominantly squatting and deadlifting). Due surgery to have fluid removed and bone graft. [link] [comments] |
