How to transition to IR or Cath Lab

So I am desperately seeking a job change. I’ve been working as a CT tech for the past 10 years and I am definitely feeling burnt out from the demands of CT. It’s non stop patients with no support. It is getting very exhausting.

IR/ Cath lab has peeked my interest. I like the fact that you only have one patient at a time that you can focus on as opposed to CT where they expect you to see patients one after the other like a conveyor belt. I also like the fact that you work as a part of a team as opposed to CT where you are just left on your own to scan an infinite number of exams.

I was wondering how to break into IR/ Cath lab from CT with no experience.

I have a lot of experience doing routine CT, CTAs Cardiac CTAs and CT guided biopsies, but no interventional experience. All the positions near me only want experienced techs and no one is willing to train an eager CT tech into IR/ cath.

What is the most common way to transition into IR/ cath lab with no experience? is there anything I could do or say to help me get one of these positions.

AI for radiology - A survey

Hello folks! We are a group of students from Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University (Sweden). We are conducting a short survey (it should not take more than 10 minutes of your time) to evaluate an Artificial Intelligence framework for evaluating medical imaging and, in particular, the effect that explainability can have on clinicians' attitudes toward it. We welcome anyone who interacts with medical imaging to take our survey, so please, feel free to do it even if you are still a student or an intern! If you know someone who works in the field, please, pass them the survey. It would help us greatly. https://bit.ly/RTEX_survey Thanks in advance to all of you! submitted by /u/francozzz [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/r2ratp/ai_for_radiology_a_survey/
