Is there a quick way for one to correlate a pocket of ascites in a patient's abdomen on CT with a patient's surface bony landmarks using a ruler or triangulation methods to find that exact pocket again. I can't find any web pages on the subject. Maybe I'm not searching for the right terms. I'm sure IR does it all the time. For example if you are at bedside and just tapping a pocket with ultrasound guidance but had an earlier CT scan showing the pocket. I know about the ruler function on the imaging software but what are some good bony landmarks to use and is there any cool triangulation you can use?
