Hand injecting for CT?

CT tech here. Had a nurse ask recently if we could hand inject IV contrast for an abdominal CT. I said hell to the no. She said she’s seen it done before and was absolutely convinced. I’ve worked in 6 different states and never seen or heard of this being done because it makes 0 sense. Are there any hyper specific CT protocols that call for that??
