I'm a radiographer in Melbourne, Australia, working through most of the covid outbreaks here.
Obviously during the pandemic the number of portable CXR's we perform has increased a lot with most patients being suspected of covid or covid positive. However, one thing that has begun to bug me is our hospital now thinks they can ask for any CXR to be performed portable despite no clinical reasoning for imaging to be portable for non covid patients.
It's become frustrating arguing with wards and Drs who demand portable xrays for a patient who is clincaly stable, just because they want it to be done on the ward.
Wanted to know if anyone else has had similar issues in there work places.
