2nd year rad tech student and feel like I’m struggling so much in clinical compared to my classmates. Feeling discouraged.

We just started our second semester at our second placement and I still only have 4 out of the 18 competencies. My classmates all have more than me and even started getting comps the first week of the new semester. I tried for a comp yesterday but did not get it even though it should be relatively easy. I feel like I’m a crappy student and that I’ll be a crappy tech… I don’t know how to be more confident other than to practice but I feel so much pressure to get comps now since I’m at the biggest hospital in the city. My next placement is slower and won’t have spines, skull work, etc. Any words of encouragement will be appreciated.

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/
