I had a CT scan of my cervical, and then thoracic and lumbar spine in Cambodia which amounted to 75mSv (estimated by a radiation protection expert from the UK who I sent my information to). C spine was 3003mGycm and T and L was 1910 mGycm.
I am just trying to work out what happened. In the surview image, I wasn’t told what to do with my arms and they were by my sides and stuck out a bit. I only saw one surview image, I don’t think a subsequent one was taken for the T and L spine scan. (Only one was listed on the scan report).
The radiologist at the center said that the dose is worked out on the go, not through the surview image, but information I’ve read suggests otherwise and that the surview is used to set dose. Which is true?
