I first got interested in radiography because of this post on a thread called "To those of you who earn a good salary in a low stress job, what do you do?" I'll be honest, this appealed to me because I am a deeply lazy person who avoids stress at all costs. After looking into it though, the pay, the 2 year education requirement (as opposed to longer), the opportunity in my area, and in general the idea of just helping people were also appealing. But in the time since, I've read about how rad techs have a very physically demanding job of positioning patients, having to frequently face COVID positive patients without getting the same sort of love as other COVID facing workers, dealing with incorrect doctor's orders, dealing with unruly patients, seeing terrible injuries, etc. I suppose I'm just looking for feedback on the reality of being a rad tech and whether or not I'm being a weenie.
