Insight on the workplace (today's way of shadowing I guess)

Hello!

I just wanted to get some insight into the radiology pathway. I am currently a Pre-medical student and I absolutely want to be a physician in the future. Although, I don't really love the patient interaction aspect of being a physician so I am looking into medical pathways that don't necessarily require tons of it. Do radiologists do a lot of patient interactions on a daily basis? What does an average day look like as a radiologist? Does a radiologist participate/conduct a lot of research? What is one thing that you (as a radiologist) wish you did as a pre-medical student to better prepare yourself for this position?

Please, please, please answer as many questions as you want and be as thorough as possible!

Thank you all,

Dennis C.

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/
