So I currently work the most boring job in the world, treating town drinking water. It is honestly so slow some days I could almost rip my hair out at work, the pay is decent and my coworkers are awesome, but I’m 26 years old and I can’t see myself doing this much longer. I know a couple of rad techs and they love their job, they’re always busy at work and the pay is better than what I make. I’ve always had a knack for science and math and I can tolerate seeing pretty horrible injuries without feeling sick at all. Are there any huge downsides to this job that I’m missing? Everything I can find about this career path sounds pretty good, the biggest change for me would be from working outside most of the day in the heat, cold, rain and snow, to working inside with heat and air conditioning.
