Hi, thanks for reading. I had an ultrasound on a thyroid nodule and am having a FNA next week. Can anyone help me decipher the report and what is the most likely outcome please?
Thanks so much —- 27F, w/hypothyroidism
“The right lobe of the thyroid gland reveals a nodule. This measures 1.48cm in AP direction and 1.99cm in the transverse direction. It has a vascular area of hyperechogenicity however it is not regular and the vascular halo is incomplete.
It also has increased vascularity within the centre of the lesion. I would classify this as a U3.”
