Actual size of intraocular copper wire on a CT scan

On an orbital CT scan report I have, the estimated size of an intraorbital copper wire (electrical wire) is 5.8x3 mm. How accurate is that? Could it be measured badly because of artifacts? Is there an article specifying the error range in mm (CT vs an actual copper wire)?
