Do you get a preop x-ray on patient age 46 y.o. with smoking history and going in for rotator cuff surgery? No hx of cardiopulm disease and asymptomatic

Just wondering if the smoking history would increase his risk and require preop x-ray. Not sure if rotator cuff surgery is high risk, I'd say no it is not
