Texas Medical Board requirements question.

Hello, I moved to Texas back in 2021 and was curious about the CE credit Requirements for renewing my MRT license. I know that we have to complete the Hunan Trafficking course, but I was a bit confused about the other credits. I usually do EradImaging for my ARRT credits and those usually are sufficient for my ARRT renewal. Will the credits I earned through EradImaging be enough to satisfy the TMB requirements or do I have to earn separate credits for those. Note: I earned all my ARRT credits through EradImaging. Category A credits iirc. submitted by /u/kaptainkooleio [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/13uxr7y/texas_medical_board_requirements_question/

24w pittie puppy non-weight bearing

Findings Bilateral stifles (four images dated May 25, 2023): The caudal abdomen is within normal limits. The visible coxal joints are unremarkable. The stifle joints are unremarkable for patient age. The apophysis of the left tibial tuberosity is proximally displaced with a 9 mm osseous body noted immediately distal. The soft tissues cranial to the left proximal tibia and left stifle joint are mildly thickened. There is equivocal widening of the craniomedial aspect of the left proximal tibial physis. The popliteal lymph nodes are normal in size bilaterally. The visible tarsi are unremarkable. Conclusion Left tibial tuberosity avulsion fracture 1 The appearance of the left proximal tibial physis may be artifactual due to differences in patient positioning, however a concurrent physeal fracture is also considered. submitted by /u/nevertoomanytacos [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/13u2saw/24w_pittie_puppy_nonweight_bearing/

How can I manage?

Trying to get into the rad tech program at community college it’s a 2yr program. I just wanted some insight from someone has gone through this. How are the clinicals? Are they like full time hours ex: m-f 9-5? Or are they like Mondays 9-5 Wednesdays 9-5 (random)? How many hours of clinicals are normally a week? I’m just trying to get a feel of the schedule before I dive in. I’m a CNA and I was planning on working thru an agency doing travel and picking up shifts on my own time when I can so I can pay for things I need but what would you suggest? Is full time rad tech program doable with a job? Part time per diem job? Or just don’t even try? How was your clinical schedule like? Every answer is appreciated thank you. submitted by /u/Ok_Conversation_3954 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/13s6j51/how_can_i_manage/

Magnification Mammography relative dose

I often see it stated that manification mammography requires a higher dose than contact. I can understand this if using screen film image receptors with the same speed film, but it doesn't make sense for digital mammography. Same object level noise will mean same dose regardless of magnification. Higher dose is only required if same pixel level noise is needed. I got into the Rad Tech program!

I just want to share with you that I finally got into the program at our local community college and i’m starting this summer. For context, I’m already 30yo with a prior BS degree and decided on a career change. During the pandemic until this semester, I took my time to take all the pre-reqs and GEs required while working. I also volunteered at a hospital for over a year. It was optional due to COVID, but I still did it to get the brownie points. I finally applied last March 2023 and received good news last Friday. The program is based on a pointing system, so I think having good grades really mattered. It was my first time applying and the only program I applied to. I didn’t know it was possible to get in on your first try because of all of the stories I’ve been reading, so don’t lose hope because it’s possible! Wishing everyone who’s applying this year good luck. You can do this! If you have questions, I will do my best to answer them 😊 also if you have tips on how to survive this

Hello. Potential Student

So, there’s a school near me that offers Radiologic Technology Program. And it says, that I will be able to take the ARRT exam, but I saw that it is not JRCERT. How important is it, and will it make a difference when I apply for jobs. I know that the ARRT is the main one, but how much is the other one. I currently live in Texas, (Brownsville, and McAllen are close to me. But Huston has a school that is JRCERT)and after graduation, a few months down the road, I would like to move to Seattle/Portland. Still not sure if I will ever move, but I think it’s better to be informed. If I were to go to that school that dose not have JRCERT, will it be difficult for me to obtain a job/state licensing(in Washington/Oregon).
