I’m almost graduating and want to apply for diagnostic radiology /interventional radiology residency, but being around i see that it is much more stressful and you have many on calls and so on… is it as busy as a surgeon’s life? i love interventional radiology but i don’t want it to consume my life! i am now considering to first go into diagnostic radiology and later do the fellowship for IR! do you think its more reasonable to do this ? this way i will have to do 2 years more tho and i am 24 so at 31 i can be an interventional radiologist but if i go directly into IR residency i can finish around 30-29 ( i live in Europe btw )
