I'm not sure if this is the place to ask but I wanted to ask someone who has experience working with radiation equipment. I work at a food packaging plant and they recently added big xray machines to the lines for xraying the food once it's packaged. I work fairly close to them and they are on for my whole 8 hour shift I'm picking up and boxing what it xrays all night long. I'm nervous about it, I'm not behind a wall or anything. I looked up the brand and machines online and the radiation safety meters are optional and don't come standard. And the only thing I can can find about a saftey is the xray machines company website which says. "There is no documented evidence of adverse health effects of X-rays on equipment operators, the food products that travel through the equipment and ultimately the consumer of those products." I can't find anything else about it. Not sure if I'm over reacting or if I should be worried.
