Just got my score back and I failed microbiology at my USMD school.
I’m going to have to take a test next semester and it will show up as remediated-pass with the failing course still on my transcript.
I am starting research in the radiology department next semester and will be better about studying. I just didn’t put enough time into my classes this semester, I kept working on side projects related to coding and that took away too much time from hitting the books.
Now that step 1 is P/F I feel it’s going to be harder for students to stick out, will Program directors automatically filter my app out with a failure on record? I don’t mind where I go to residency, as long as it’s accredited, send me to the Arctic for all I care.
