At least a few times a week we have requests to place feeding tubes on patients either using fluoro in the department, or by dragging a c-arm into an ICU room with an RA and placing one. I’ve talked to other tech friends of mine who work at different facilities and they all seem confused as to why nurses need our help putting in feeding tubes, and that they’ve never had to do that where they work. I’m kind of curious now if it’s a common occurrence in other places or if our nurses are just spoiled.
