Radiation question?

I accidentally walked through a door in a hospital that said “radiation oncology through this door” when trying to find an exit. I was trying to exit an mri area and was looking for the elevator. Diagnostic Radiologists who are part of Residency Programs (USA), How helpful would it be if 1 of the 4 Letters of Recommendation that a medical student will submit to your program is from his/her former employer in the tech industry?

An MRI tech I know is a danger to patients

I know a guy who got fired from multiple MRI travel jobs because he’d always do something…sexually harassed a patient who turned out to be a doctor, fell asleep while a patient was getting an MRI done and blamed it on his phone not waking him up, smoking were, etc. The list goes on. He’s been reported to ARRT at least 3 times, and somehow he’s always gotten out of it. He’s a legit danger to patients. He told current coworkers that he smokes crystal meth and did an exam without a script. When ARRT contacted his employer, they lied and covered for him. I just got screenshots of texts he sent 5 years ago, sharing MRI images that had the patient’s name and birthday on there. Those got reported to ARRT, too, but I can’t believe he keeps getting away with everything. While I’m personally just pissed that he’s never had to own up to his issues, it’s a matter of time before he harasses another patient or does something worse than leaving a patient locked in the MRI room for 30 minutes beca

Without getting into too much detail, I am beginning to feel that this is not the field for me due to personal issues with my mental health and burnout. I’m open to exploring the field more, however, I am at a place mentally where I would rather have a job that is less focused on mental health and social issues. The pay versus the work is often abysmal (yes, I knew this going into it but at the time was more optimistic). Professional liability student insurance

The radiography program I was accepted to requires professional liability insurance for rad tech students. Does anyone know how much these types of plans cost a month? The program said they’ll reach out with more info in May but I’m hoping to plan a little more financially now. submitted by /u/HiCam16 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/11skrxr/professional_liability_student_insurance/
