CT training question

Hello to all techs and docs that are reading this!

I am currently in my final year of Radiology school (tech/engineer).
In a few months I am supposed to start my training in our university clinical center, and I am feeling quite nervous about it. While I am very "relaxed" when it comes to performing X - ray scans, performing CTs makes me shiver. Due to the situation around the pandemic and the awful political and educational system in my country, we have been unable to actually learn by going to the clinic for a better part of 2 years. In the past 5 months I have spent every moment available to me in the clinic observing and also doing X - rays while being supervised by the kind techs!

I have only done about 20 CT scans by now, but I have never done any sort of reconstruction by myself.
To cut to the chase, is there some sort of program or website that allows you to practice CT reconstructions?
Or maybe even a program that allows you to "scan" some sort of artificial patient?

I am aware that all machines operate differently but I would like to get a bit more of a grip around everything before my clinical training begins.

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/
