Is it true that x ray techs are just over paid photographers?

Also is it true that x ray techs just push buttons all day and that it’s a easy job?

I asking because I don’t know too much about working in this field and keep hearing nurses and RNs say that. Also I’m looking into a new career in medical and want to learn more.
