How many CT techs work in your ER and how many scanners do you have?

I’m finding myself frustrated with the lack of staffing ar my job. We have an extremely busy ER with 65 beds not counting overflow of patients. We have 2 scanners, yet only 1 CT tech and we have special software on our scanners for strokes that can take seasoned techs 45-60min to complete post processing. So if we get a CTA head and neck with the nurse starting IV in the room it takes up a lot of time and backs you up all day. The other day I had 3 strokes, 2 at the same time so I had to ask the team who they thought was worse. I feel this is so unfair to the patients.

Can you tell me what state you’re in, with how many ER beds, and CT techs?
