[Update] I finished my CQR process, ask me anything you want

Here is my original post from 2 months ago: https://old.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/g389k4/nightmare_scheduling_the_all_online_cqr_test_not/

I left you off while waiting for the results of Pearson Vue to digitally grade my CQR tests. It says it takes a few days to score the exam. It took my tests hours less than a week to be scored. So, it took about 90 minutes per question. I called the ARRT, and they said the exam batch is scored on Thursdays. I took my tests back to back on a Wednesday and received results the next week, so use this information how you want. It makes no sense to me.

The results will never be available on the Pearson Vue website, so don't expect them there. The results of the CQR test are in your dashboard portal on arrt.org.

If you fail a section or three like I did, then the ARRT will make you do a number of prescribed CE credits in the sections you failed.

I had 4 xray CE credits prescribed to me and 4+5 CT CE credits prescribed to me. Three sections total out of Don't judge me; I'm a terrible test taker. The CE credits you use to fulfill these prescribed CEs also count for your 24 CE credits every two years. So keep that in mind, so you don't waste your money.

It is not difficult to find CEs that fit your prescription. The ARRT has put together a list for all of the CEs that fit the prescription you need. The list can be sorted in several ways. Pay attention to how you can sort the list of prescribed CE options. This will help you get the CEs you need from the same source. I found that sorting by the provider was most useful. In the past, I have used eRadImaging for my CE credits because it's cheap and easy. However, eRadImaging didn't have enough credits to fulfill my requirement. This is very important check that your source of CE credits provides enough to satisfy your prescription. I highly suggest making a spreadsheet to keep everything straight if you have more than a single prescription.

These prescribed CEs are different from your biennium CEs. Understand that a one CE credit course will not necessarily count for one full credit toward your prescribed CEs needed. A one-credit CE course may count as 1, 0.75, 0.5, 0.25 CEs toward your prescribed CEs. You will probably find that you need to do more than 4 CEs to fulfill 4 prescribed CEs. This was one of the biggest things I wasn't prepared for. So, I made a spreadsheet to keep track of my CEs that count toward my prescribed CEs and the total that count toward my 24 needed for my biennium. I did this so I didn't waste my time working on extra or unnecessary CE credits. Overall, even after careful planning, I had to do 15 courses to satisfy 13 prescribed CEs.

When it comes to submitting your prescribed CEs they need to be approved. This seems to involve someone physically looking at them and hitting an approve button at the ARRT. This was pretty quick and seemed like it was one of the only things the ARRT had direct control over with the whole process.

Again, you use the same CEs for your prescription for the 24 CEs needed for your biennium. So if you didn't use the ASRT, have fun copying the info all over again in your renewal form.

Last, they say to have this done two weeks ahead of time. I had everything approved pretty quickly, but I agree, play it safe. I suggest taking the CQR early before your earliest biennium. This way, if you fail a lot of sections in the CQR, you can use the prescribed CEs to fulfill your biennium CEs for one or two bienniums.

If you're reading this, please share how many CEs you were prescribed after you took the test. I know that other people are curious.

AI for radiology - A survey

Hello folks! We are a group of students from Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University (Sweden). We are conducting a short survey (it should not take more than 10 minutes of your time) to evaluate an Artificial Intelligence framework for evaluating medical imaging and, in particular, the effect that explainability can have on clinicians' attitudes toward it. We welcome anyone who interacts with medical imaging to take our survey, so please, feel free to do it even if you are still a student or an intern! If you know someone who works in the field, please, pass them the survey. It would help us greatly. https://bit.ly/RTEX_survey Thanks in advance to all of you! submitted by /u/francozzz [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/r2ratp/ai_for_radiology_a_survey/
