Interview for the Rad tech program in College

I busted my butt to get all A's in my prerequisite courses for the radiology program and I applied for the the program. Got a email from the director to come on for an interview and write a short essay for the topic they will choose.

this is part of the email

The interview process will consist of:

  1. A short essay writing on a topic provided by the MRT Admission Committee
  2. Approximately 10 minutes interview conducted by members of the MRT Admission Committee

The essays and interviews will be graded and scored, and the points scored will be added to the applicant’s original scoring worksheet.

Following the interview process, all interviewed applicants will be ranked according to their total scores, and up to 30 applicants with the highest cumulative scores will be selected for program admission and e-mailed an admission offer letter within one week after the interview process. The unadmitted interviewed applicants will receive a non-admission (reject of admission) letter.

Does anybody know what is the common or what type of topic they program will give you to write about? Do they give you a topic before the date or surprise you at the arrival day?

Do rad techs/sonographers deal with vomit often?

Hi there! I’m currently considering going to school to be a rad tech or sonographer but I’m struggling to find out if you guys deal with vomit a lot. I am emetophobic (phobia of vomit) and, while I think I’d like these jobs a lot, it does worry me to think about having to deal with it often. Thank you for your help! submitted by /u/pootscoot1 [link] [comments] source https://www.reddit.com/r/Radiology/comments/p5y0aa/do_rad_techssonographers_deal_with_vomit_often/
